The meeting timer packages are for timing speaker's testimonies, debates, or presentations. The timers can be programmed for up to 99 hours or up to 99 minutes. The three light display indicates green for "talk", yellow for "wrap it up", and red for "you're done". Options include the programmable presets, displays of several sizes, LED colors, and beepers. For most packages the color options are black or almond. For packages that include displays the default display style is black metal, and options include oak, or oak ends.
Alzatex Public Speaking Timers were chosen twice for the national Presidential Debates, in 2000 and again in 2004.
Applications
- Presentation Timer. Timers for timing public speakers at meetings and conferences.
- Public Meetings. Timers for timing public speakers at City council, Planning Commission, and public debates. Large LED displays or Large Red-Yellow-Green annunciators let everyone in the room know when it is time for the current speaker to sit down and let the next person speak. An optional loud warning beeper gives an audible indication when the time is up.
- Toastmasters. Toastmasters clubs use the TimeKeeper™ at their meetings. The Toastmasters standard green and yellow warning times are programmed into our timers. The green and yellow warning times are fully programmable for any desired time.
- Church Sanctuaries and Auditoriums. A large LED wall display may be used as a timer to time the minister or guest speakers; it may also be used as a time of day clock.
- Lectern and Podiums. A speaker, teacher, or professor can track his or her own time with a timer installed on the lectern or podium. Timer setup and use is so simple that a speaker from out of town can walk up to the lectern, turn the knob to set the time and press start without any instructions.
- School Speech class. Students can use a timer when practicing and delivering their speeches.
- Debate teams. Each member of a debate team is given a specific amount of time to respond. If the time expires, the other team gets to respond. In another scenario, each team has a button to press so that the first team to press a button gets to respond.
- School timed tests. The instructor will place a timer with a large LED display in front of the class. The students will know exactly how many minutes remain in the test.
- Contests. Everyone will have a fair and equal amount of time to participate.

Easy to Use:
- Turn knob to set desired time. The Select button selects between setting minutes and seconds.
- Press the Start/Stop button to start the timer.The Mode button selects between counting up and counting down.
- When finished, press the Reset button to return to last preset time.
Operation of the Green-Yellow-Red Lights
- In count down mode, the green light turns on when the timer is started.
- The green light will remain on as the timer is counting down.
- When the timer reaches a user specified time, the green light turns off and the yellow light turns on.
- When the timer reaches zero, the yellow light turns off and the red light turns on.
- When the timer is reset, all lights are turned off.
