ALZATEX TIMERS ASSIST
MEDIATOR IN NEW HAMPSHIRE FOX GOP FORUM Fox News
Taps Oregon Company to Provide Timing in New Hampshire Republican
Forum.
(Aloha, OR) Fox News sponsored a forum for
the Republican Presidential candidates in New Hampshire at 8 p.m.
on Sunday January 6th, 2008. Fox News requested for
Alzatex, Inc. to customize two Count Down Timers that had been
provided by Alzatex. There were one minute and two minute
questions presented to the candidates and the Alzatex timers were
used by the Executive Producers to supervise when each candidate
has spent his alloted time to answer a given question.
The
timers used presented the forum mediator with a green light when a
question was posed to a candidate, a yellow light when it was
nearly time to wrap up their response, and a flashing red light
when the candidate's response time was completed. This
represented a unique application of a standard timer that Alzatex
has designed and modified to meet specifications set by Fox
News.
Alzatex is a small Oregon company that has designed
custom timing solutions for businesses since 1993. It
manufactures many timing systems employed in city council
meetings, high school debates, and similar functions across the
globe. The Commission on Presidential Debates began using Alzatex
equipment for the Bush/Gore debates in 2000 and the Bush/Kerry
debates in 2004 after spotting the company's equipment at a
Broadcasting Trade Show.
