Microphone Mute function

Queuing/Voting System description
In the above picture you can see the queuing stations with Audio-Technica brand 19" gooseneck microphones. Also, you see the queuing system remote LCD display that the chairperson uses and the Red-Yellow-Green indicator unit used by the count up/down timer.
A standard queuing / voting system consists of the following items.
At least one Queuing/Voting Station Controller is required per system. Queuing/Voting Station Controller. Up to 64 queuing stations may be connected to the Queuing/Voting System. One Controller is required per 16 queuing stations. Up to 4 que119a modules can be installed in one system. The queuing stations connect directly to the queuing station controller. The data jack on the queuing station controller connects to the queuing system master control, voting system controller and displays. Queuing/Voting Stations.
- Queuing/Voting stations. Any combination of permanently installed or portable queuing stations may be installed. The system supports a maximum of 64 queuing stations.
- Optional Microphone Shock Mounts. Some models of permanently installed queuing stations integrate a microphone shock mount into the queuing station plate. Audio-Technica, Astatic and Shure shock mounts are supported. Be sure to specify which model shock mount you are using.
Any combination of portable and Counter Top Mounted queuing stations may be used. When using the queuing system also as a voting system, it is best to use the 8 channel relay module. The single channel modules will work, but the relay is connected to the TALK/YES lamp. The relay will click on along with the TALK/YES lamp.

Use the following modules as the mute relays if you do not use queuing stations with built in mute relays. If you are installing a combo queuing/voting system, use the 2, 4 or 8 channel relay modules rather than the individual relay modules. The multi-channel relay modules are microprocessor controlled. On the individual relay module, the relay is connected directly to the talk lamp.
- Optional Microphone mute relays. A eight channel mute relay may be used for the each eight microphones.
- Optional Microphone mute controller. A 32 channel mute controller is used to connect up to 4 mixers. Each mixer controls up to eight microphones.

Choose one of the following microphone shock mounts for each of the Counter Top Mounted queuing stations. The Astatic model has a built in XLR connector and connecting wire. The Audio Technica model has standard threads. You may screw your own XLR connector onto the base or screw a boom directly to the base.

Queuing System main equipment.
Queuing Station Master Control. The Queuing Station Master Control serves two purposes.
- This unit may be used by the clerk or camera operator, or installed in the main equipment rack.
- A standard PC keyboard may be connected to this unit to program the names of the persons speaking into the system. This unit is where the names are stored. Up to 8 lists of 64 names may be stored in this unit.
This unit is installed in the equipment rack used by the camera operator. One Controller is required per system.
- PC Keyboard. The PC Keyboard plugs into the Queuing Station Master Control to program in the names of the persons at the microphones. One PS-2 style PC Keyboard is required per system.
- Moderator/Chairperson Control Panel / LCD Display. This unit is used by the chair person or moderator. This optional control panel permits the Moderator/Chairperson to control who is speaking next. It can be used to enable or disable the microphones of the various persons speaking.
- Remote LCD Display. This unit is used by the chair person, clerk and camera operators. At least one remote LCD display and/or Moderator/Chairperson Control Panel is recommended per system. Additional LCD displays may be installed if others want to monitor who's up to speak next.
- Power Supply. One 12 volt power supply is required.
One queuing station master control is required per system. This unit is required with the queuing system. A PC keyboard connects to this unit for programming. The DATA-1 port on this unit connects to the Queuing/Voting station controller. The DATA-2 port on this unit connects to the video title maker and to the remote LCD display(s). The que115ctl is used with the que521pgm.

One PC keyboard is required per queuing system. If you prefer, you may provide your own PS-2 style keyboard.
The Moderator's control panel with remote LCD display. This unit displays exactly the same information as the queuing system master control unit. This panel shows the status of each queuing station. Also, the moderator can request people to speak or cancel any request to speak.

The remote displays, display exactly the same information as the queuing system master control unit. Any number of remote LCD displays may be installed. The chairperson, clerk, camera operator, or others may wish to have an LCD display. The queuing system master control unit also serves as an LCD display.

If you want to display the names of the speakers and/or the vote results on the transmitted or recorded video, you will need to include this video title maker. The video title maker connects directly to the queuing system master control unit. Connect the video input and output to the video system.

Voting System main equipment. One Voting System controller is required per system if you need voting capability. The Voting System controller enables the vote mode and displays a summary of the vote results. This unit also displays the voting progress. As each person votes the count is decremented by one. When the count reaches zero, the vote results button may be pressed to display the vote result on the display(s). This unit connects to the DATA port on the queuing station controller.

Call us about customized large wall displays that display individual vote results. These displays will show the vote result of each individual member that votes. It displays the yes, no or abstain result of each person that voted on a large 20 inch by 32 inch oak wall display. Choose the size of voting system display that you will need. Each display consists of a Red, Green and Blue display for each person voting. You will also need a power supply to power the voting system display.

Countup/down Timer. The count up/down timer is used to time the speakers so that each person is given an equal allotment of time. One or more count up/down timers is recommended per system.

Red-Yellow-Green Indicator Unit. The Red-Yellow-Green Indicator Unit is a visual display to the user as to the amount of time remaining to speak. This unit is connected to the count up/down timer.
- Green indicates that the speaker may continue speaking.
- Yellow indicates that the speaker must wrap up his/her presentation.
- Red indicates that the speaker must stop speaking.
Large LED display. This unit is connected to the count down timer. It displays the time remaining in minutes and seconds. This display is available in several sizes.
